This report presents 30-year forecasts, from 2020 to 2050, of the Australian total freight task by major transport mode–road, rail, sea and air. The forecasts presented in this report update BITRE’s 2019 freight forecasts and complement BITRE’s latest interstate road freight forecasts (BITRE 2022).
