General Social Survey

The ABS General Social Survey provides data on the social characteristics, wellbeing and social experiences of people in Australia. Specific topics also include voluntary and unpaid work, housing, cultural tolerance, crime and safety, financial stress and sexual orientation. Demographic information includes indigenous status and family composition. Data is available for download by state, Greater Capital City Statistical Area (GCCSA), Remoteness Areas and Section of State (an aggregation of Urban Centres and Localities).
