The Department of Justice contributes to a safe, fair and just Tasmania.

We do this by providing services and systems that promote and maintain people’s rights and responsibilities and by resolving disputes for the benefit of the Tasmanian community. The purpose of our work is to:

• Influence positive behaviour and enforce responsibilities.
